2024 Spring International Academic Event of the College of Management, Fu Jen Catholic University

The College of Management and The Department of Information Management at Fu-Jen Catholic University (FJCU) is going on an international academic exchange event with Fordham University’s Information Technology and Operations department, USA, scheduled for March 20th and 21st. This rare opportunity invites three Fordham’s visiting scholars to engage in meaningful discussions about ongoing research projects. The primary aim of this event is to cultivate international academic collaboration between our institutions and lay the foundation for future joint enrollment programs.​

The two-days academic visit was organized by Director Dong Weifeng of the Department of Information Management and served as a platform for exchanges between the two schools and departments. On the first day, there was an academic exchange symposium. In the morning, there was a symposium with teachers. Dean Li Jianyu and Vice Dean Huang Xiaoyun of the School of Management received the reception. They initially provided possible international cooperation plans between the departments of the two schools. In the afternoon, a lectures on studying in the United States was held. On the second day, teacher research and doctoral student research sharing and exchange activities were held. The exchange activities were lively. In the future, we will move towards increasing the energy of collaborative research between teachers from the two schools.​

Through this exchange, both sides gained an in-depth understanding of international cooperation projects. The College of Management looks forward to having more cooperation discussions with Fordham University on sister schools, exchanges, 4+1 bridge programs, and 1+1 dual programs in the near future. This will allow teachers and students from the two schools to have more diverse interactions.
