The 2024 list of the “World’s Top 2% Scientists” was released on September 16, marking the fifth consecutive year of this publication. Approximately 220,000 scientists globally were selected, with over 1,700 Taiwanese scholars included, securing Taiwan’s position at 19th in the global rankings.
Professor Lu of the Graduate Institute of Business has consistently received this prestigious recognition for his exceptional academic contributions. The ranking, based on data updated through the end of 2023 and calculated using Scopus author metrics as of August 1, 2024, highlights the top 2% of scientists worldwide across 22 major academic fields and 174 subfields. The rankings measure both lifetime scientific impact (1960-2023) and scientific influence in 2023, underscoring the enduring and recent research excellence of these scholars.
Professor Lu’s remarkable scholarly achievements have earned him global recognition, a testament to his significant influence on the academic community.
