AWS is worldly recognized as the largest cloud service platforms in the cloud industry. The AWS Academy Program officially aunched in globally in Feb 2017, include Taiwan and Hong Kong. Dr. Huai-Sheng Huang successfully completed the AWS Academy Program Instructor Accreditation Process and has become an Accredited Instructor. Moreover, Huang was invited as the delegate of ASW Academy Program in Taiwan Region to attend the AWS Re: Invent 2017 (27 November – 1 December) taken place in Las Vegas, USA. FJCU also shares his honor.

Dr. Huang initiated introducing AWS Educate to FJCU in October 2016. He hoped that each of his students in his class ‘Introduction to Big Data’ was able to set up a server cluster (one master and several slaves) and process data analysis on Apache Spark through AWS. In addition, all students and faculties of FJCU could facilitate the AWS Credits to create multiple virtual machines or apply multiple cloud services for their needs for handling curriculum, projects or experimental essays.

In September 2017, Dr. Huang has strived further and introduced AWS Academy Program to FJCU. His great contribution brings lots of benefits to students, faculties and the university as follows:

1. AWS Academy Program provides FJCU with a semester-long curriculum that is developed and maintained by AWS, ensuring it is up to date and reflects current services and best practices. The curriculum is delivered through in-class instruction, hands-on labs, online knowledge assessment and project work.

2. The AWS Curriculum is aligned to the ‘AWS Certified Solutions Architect-Associate’ exam. According to Global Knowledge’s latest report, ’15 top-paying Certifications for 2016’, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate is in the leading position. (Source from Forbes)

3. FJCU may announce their AWS Academy Program participation via press release, blog post, or social media channels, etc.
